- Provide assistance in emergency, elective, and scheduled procedures.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Serve as a liaison between the surgical team and patients' families.
- Organize supplies needed for patients.
- Assess patients before, during, and after surgery and maintain a sterile operating room.
- Perform count procedures and interventions to prevent unintended retained foreign objects and ensure correct site, side, and level.
- Maintain patients' physiological systems and fluid balance during surgery.
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians.
- Involve patients or designated support persons in decisions regarding postoperative care and rehabilitation.
- Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing; Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher required.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice; active Compact/Multi-State RN license preferred.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in CVOR nursing required.

They will assume responsibility for effective communication with surgical technologists, other Registered Nurses, surgeons, patients, families, and other surgical team members.
