Overview:

Brief Description: Operates various machines in the machine shop

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operate all equipment associated with the machine shop. This would include but not limited to the following equipment: CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, Manual lathes and mills with conversational programming, drills, broaching, sharpening, and other associated equipment.
• Proficient in using micrometers and precision measuring equipment.
• Familiar with machine fits concerning bearings, ways, clearances, and interference fits.
• Familiar with thread types and fits and the cutting of those threads.
• Keep work space and area clean of all machining chips, garbage, oil and grease.
• Prioritize safety with a focus on using TCOS approaches.
• Read blueprints and ability to redraw and dimension sketches.
• Non-routine hours during nights and weekends may occur, including emergency call-ins.

Required:

• Experience in operating machine shop equipment.
• Flexibility to work extra shifts and overtime as needed for outages, maintenance jobs, or shift coverage.
• Overhead crane certification (Will Train)
• Fork truck certification(Will Train)
• Pass hands on test.

Preferred:

• Ability to use CAD
• Strong Mechanical aptitude
• G Code programming experience
