The School of Lifelong Learning in the College of Education and Human Development is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies (Tenure-Track). The faculty, staff, and students in the School of Lifelong Learning are seeking innovative, ambitious, and creative people who are passionate about adult education and training,Responsibilities
- Teach a 4-4 course load for Fall and Spring sessions.
- Advise non-traditional adult learners, transfer students etc.
- Actively engage in recruitment and retention program assessment evaluations program development Research publish seek funding Perform other duties as assigned Typical Qualifications Terminal degree in interdisciplinary fields in Educational Technology Information Systems IS Computational Social Science Data Science Organizational Sociology IndustrialOrganizational I O Psychology Adult Education Workforce Development Human Resource Development or a closely related discipline s at the time application PhD Candidates who have successfully defended their dissertations at the time application welcome Must have taken I8 hours graduate level research courses Evidence effective teaching college level Must active research agenda clearly defined research plan related adult education other interdisciplinary studies on non traditional students Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated ability teach courses undergraduate level areas applied artificial intelligence technology society future work Proficient quantitative research methodologies Experience delivering online instruction undergraduates graduate students Record advising non traditional adult learners transfer students Demonstrate great communication skills commitment high quality service to students community Academic research publications grants areas Artificial intelligence workplace Adult Education career transitions Recruitment Retention Non TraditionalAdult Learners High Impact Practices teaching learning Experience program redesign development Implementing interventions support recruitment retention on time graduation non traditional readmit transfer students
