    The Shift Leader is responsible for ensuring every customer has an exceptional experience at Jersey Mike's. This includes providing top-notch customer service, preparing high-quality subs, and maintaining store cleanliness.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Live by the 5 Core Values of Integrity, Initiative, Quality, Teamwork, and Servant Leadership.
    • Teach teammates how to deliver outstanding customer service.
    • Prepare and serve Jersey Mike's signature subs with precision and care.
    • Set the bar for food preparation, customer service, cleaning, and kitchen maintenance.
    • Provide personalized attention to customers, greeting them warmly.
    • Conduct daily safety checks and report any issues to management promptly.
    • Fulfill various roles within the team, including vegetable prep, baking, slicing, and cashier duties.

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; must demonstrate basic math and reading skills.
    • No prior restaurant experience necessary; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential.
    • Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
    • Exceptional customer service skills to treat patrons like family.
    • Strong communication skills to teach and motivate colleagues.
    • Willingness to learn and grow daily.

    Work Environment

    This role requires frequent standing, walking, and use of hands/fingers. You'll regularly interact with sharp objects, slippery floors, steam, and extreme temperatures. Regular handwashing is also required.
