The Nurse Manager role involves overseeing advanced nursing functions, including planning, coordinating, and evaluating nursing care on a 24-hour basis. This position is responsible for the daily operations in their assigned areas and ensuring the implementation of Standards of Practice in line with regulations and guidelines.

The Nurse Manager plays a critical role in maintaining a skilled workforce, providing clinical expertise, and ensuring personalized care based on individual patient needs. Additionally, they collaborate with internal and external partners to promote community involvement and awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend work regularly and work assigned shifts
• Oversee program-based nursing services and participate in performance improvement activities
• Promote a supportive environment for nursing staff
• Develop nursing policies and procedures
• Facilitate strategies to ensure optimal nursing services
• Provide clinical direction and expertise
• Contribute to quality assessment and performance improvement initiatives
• Ensure patient rights and safety are prioritized
• Monitor and address trends in nursing care delivery
• Collaborate with leadership on staffing and resource allocation
• Participate in budget planning and partnership development
• Support a high-quality system of care for patients
• Assist in clinical rotations and committee work
• Promote positive relationships with external agencies and departments
• Seek opportunities for improvement based on feedback

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of nursing practices, management principles, and organizational planning
• Skills in patient care, teamwork, and computer usage
• Ability to organize, evaluate, and communicate effectively
• Strong interpersonal and coaching skills
• Capacity to develop budgets, instruct others, and provide patient education
• Proficiency in interpreting standards and regulations
