    Apprentice Trimmer Climber Trainee Union

    Job Description:

    • This position trims, tops and reshapes trees to remove low-hanging, dead and excess branches providing clearance for utility powerlines.
    1. Uses a chainsaw to cut brush logs and stumps of larger trees.

    • Gathers feeds brush into a woodchipper. Ensures the safety of self others by following company safety policies adheres to Region Policy Manual applies herbicide to right-of-way follows brush removal treat remote areas services maintains neat clean mechanical order truck chipper equipment responsible daily inventory on truck.

    Requirements:


    Must be 18 years age or older able work scheduled work hours can obtain written CDL permit within weeks hire date valid CDL within days hire date herbicide license within days hire date willing pay union dues.
