    Job Summary

    We are seeking a Business Compensation Senior Manager (BCM) with extensive experience in supporting technical business areas to participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Global Total Rewards Strategy.

    Responsibilities
    An ideal candidate would approach relationships within the HR community and with business leaders in a consultative manner.

    You will engage with key stakeholders to develop a clear understanding of the HR and business strategies, priorities and requirements and align job architecture and reward recommendations to best meet the needs of the business.

    Maintain alignment to Equinix's overall reward strategy and ensure the achievement of equitable and competitive employee compensation.

    You will regularly partner with peer Business Compensation Managers and regional Total Rewards Managers on Global Total Reward Strategies as well as ongoing projects and day-to-day work.

    Oversee and manage the application of compensation policies and procedures and support recurring compensation activities such as annual merit cycles, market pricing and establishing salary structures, conducting job evaluation and submitting to salary surveys.

    You may also represent the Rewards function on cross-HR and other cross-functional projects.


    Previous candidate experiences that will support success in the role are design and deployment of compensation programs, development of manager and employee web-based resources, and explaining compensation activities.

    A demonstrated mastery of general compensation knowledge and common practices in the technology industry both in the US and internationally is necessary.

    Ability to break down complex topics in easy to understand, bite-sized pieces.


    In our matrixed team environment, this role will be responsible for directing the work of more junior team members in the day-to-day work of the compensation team.

    This may come in the form a direct reporting relationship or via oversight of ongoing compensation work and projects.
    Responsible for communicating compensation philosophy and key concepts. Develop and lead training for broader HR community. Maintain a working knowledge of compensation in international countries, domestic federal and/or state legislation influencing compensation. May be involved with plan design. Ensure programs, policies and procedures are current regarding trends, practices, and costs. Trains, coaches, and mentors team members.

    Qualifications
    Extensive experience managing global compensation activities

    Ability to work independently and lead initiatives as required, demonstrating effective project management skills

    Able to build strong working relationships with teams and key stakeholders on an international basis

    Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with peers, teammates, and Rewards leaders

    Strong verbal and written communication skills

    Require significant experience and successes demonstrated in a similar role

    Proven experience of rewards team management

    Highly proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills

    Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills

    Strong organizational and time management skills and capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment

    • San Francisco, CA /

    Bay Area:
    $143,000 to $235,000 per year

    • California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $137,000 to $225,000 per year

    Colorado, Nevada, Rhode Island:
    $124,000 to $204,000 per year Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process. The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
