Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of IR experience for a 13-week contract at a Magnet-designated, Level III Trauma teaching hospital.

Responsibilities
Inpatient interventional radiology unit within a 672-bed short-term acute care Magnet and Level III Trauma teaching hospital
Experience in inpatient, operating room, ER, and interventional radiology settings required
Average daily caseload of 9 cases per technologist
Procedures include stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, peripheral procedures, drainages, abdominal and pelvic studies, genitourinary studies, vascular studies, venous access, and neurological studies
X-ray experience required across multiple body regions including extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, and chest/thorax
Charting performed in Epic/Excellian; experience required
Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–8:30 AM start, 40 hours per week
On-call required as needed on weekends; 0–4 on-call assignments per month (additional call is elective)
No floating to sister facilities or within the unit beyond the scope of this role
Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction for this Radiology position
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Candidates who have previously worked at this facility as permanent staff or per diem must have been separated for at least 3 months from their last shift worked
Pre-start online modules are required to be completed prior to the assignment start date
Scrubs are provided by the unit
Parking is available at a flat hourly rate

Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience in interventional radiology
Current BLS and ARRT certifications required
Experience in inpatient, OR, ER, and interventional radiology settings required
Proficiency in IR procedures including stents, angioplasty, angiograms, drainages, venous access, vascular and neurological studies
Epic/Excellian EMR experience required
Pending state license accepted; license required if applicable
1 supervisor reference required for consideration
RTO requests should not exceed 5 days for the duration of the contract
