    Description of Duties


    This is a professional nutrition team position responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of a nutrition education and food service program for a department or agency.

    The employee acts as liaison between site personnel and the program administrator and advises and recommends on such food service-related areas as:

    cost control, menu development, production techniques and purchasing.

    The employee reports directly to and works under the general supervision of the Office for the Aging Program Administrator or other higher level staff member with leeway allowed for the exercise of independent judgment and decision making.

    Supervision is not a responsibility of this class. Does related work as required
    Minimum Qualifications


    Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics or Nutrition or a closely related field.


    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
    :

    Registration by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as a Registered Dietitian.
    Possession of a valid certificate from the New York State Department of Education as a Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist (CDN).
