If so, you might be interested in a position as a Business Development Representative at Parallel Works. As a Parallel Works Business Development Representative you will have the opportunity to be part of a technology engineering and sales team in a cross-functional, distributed environment. Parallel Works is a leader in democratizing high performance computing technology to support compute-intensive research across academia, government, and industry. We are advancing our world-class technology platform and looking for a Business Development Representative who proactively researches, identifies, and targets new business opportunities. The successful representative will approach prospective customers through cold calls, emails, and other communications, building out a pipeline of new business opportunities.

    Requirements

    SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS

    • Required 1-3 years experience with a BDR sales motion in technical markets (HPC, ML/AI, cloud etc).
    • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or other related field.
    • Proficiency with CRM tools (HubSpot, SalesForce, etc) and Microsoft Office.
    • Proficiency with lead generation and filtering tools (ZoomInfo, 6sense, etc).
    • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls).
    • Track record of achieving sales quota. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Understanding of sales performance metrics.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Contact potential customers through cold calls, emails, and other communication strategies.
    • Present Parallel Works to potential customers.
    • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
    • Report to the executive sales team on biweekly results.
    • Compile lists of potential leads to contact with information.
    • Attend networking events to build and maintain professional relationships.
    • Maintain a wallet pipeline of $1m annually and target 15-20 qualified leads passed to our AE's monthly.
    • Quota attainment like this, when scaled out with the rest of the BDR team, is instrumental to our company being successful.
