    Piedmont Driving Club Dining Room Sous Chef Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our dining room kitchen team at Piedmont Driving Club. As a leader in our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of elegant meals, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency, and maintaining a safe and sanitary food-handling environment.

    Our ideal candidate will have a passion for good food, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and motivate a team. If you are organized, attentive to details, and able to work well under pressure, we encourage you to apply.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Oversight of food preparation, including steaks, seafood, meats, vegetables, sauces, and stocks
    • Ensuring staff follow recipes and maintain high standards of quality and timeliness
    • Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, including regular inspections of food prep and serving areas

    Requirements:

    • Four+ years of experience in a professional food preparation position, encompassing all phases of food service and kitchen operations
    • Two+ years of experience in a restaurant kitchen supervisory/management position
    • Strong knife skills and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
    • ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification preferred
