    Description


    The Resolve Welder provides welding and metal fitting at the facility or on job sites. This position reports to the Welding Supervisor when not deployed or to the Salvage Master when deployed.

    Position Responsibilities:
    • Has an intermediate level of knowledge of all welding equipment
    • Maintains equipment and keeps work area clean. Puts all tools away in the respective places after use and at the end of each shift
    • Able to fabricate without supervision in a marine shipyard setting
    • Must have basic working knowledge of grinding and torch skills and familiar with operating in a safe work environment
    • Fabricates from drawings, sketches, and verbal directions at an intermediate level
    • Acts as lead-man on small welding and fabrication crews
    • Performs ship repair, marine construction (piers & docks) at an intermediate level
    • Reports any unsafe work-related items or conditions to Welding Supervisor
    • Informs Welding Supervisor of inventory needs and usage
    • Knows the routine and emergency procedures of the welding shop and facility
    • Complies with all safety policies and guidelines set forth by Resolve, OSHA, or other regulating body
    • Communicates effectively and follows directions
    • Other duties as assigned
    Requirements
    • High School diploma, GED or equivalent
    • 4-6 years' experience in metal fitting and welding
    • One of the following must be provided by the candidate:
      • Government Issued ID
      • Driver's License
      • Passport (if global deployment is required for this position, a current passport is required)
    • Marine shipyard offshore or salvage experience preferred
    • Verifiable training as a welder
    • Welding certification
    • Must possess or able to pass all RMG welding certificates
    • Must possess or be able to obtain a TWIC card
    • Requires the ability to work on small vessels and repairs
    • Preferred Credentials/ Certifications/ Skills:
      • Driver's License (highly preferred)
      • Passport (highly preferred; if global deployment is required for this position, a current passport is required.
      • First Aid/CPR/AED
      • OSHA 10 Hour (US teams only)
      • Crane Signal person training
      • HAZWOPER 40 Hour
      • HAZWOPER Awareness 8 hour
      • Medical/ Physical every 3 years
      • Rigging and crane operations
      • Equipment operator certification, i.e.: Forklift
      • Mechanical background in diesel, hydraulics, pumps, etc.
      • STCW or BOSIET
    ADA Requirements:

    • Use Hands/Fingers to handle or feel
    • Exposure to work: Outside weather conditions, fumes, shipyard work environment, Maritime work spaces
    • Climb (stairs/ladders) or balance

    • Carry weight, lift 50-75lbs
    Travel Requirement:

    Up to 25% travel is required. If additional, travel is required beyond the specified amount, based on the operational demand, you will be notified accordingly so arrangements can be made.
