    Title: Accounting Billing Clerk

    Reports to: Billing Manager

    Location: Houston

    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

    Job Type: Full time, 40 hours/week

    Position Summary

    The Billing Clerk will perform routine clerical, filing, and data entry tasks for the accounting department, including accounts payable, billing, and receivables. Responsibilities also include client billing.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


    • Bachelor's degree is preferred.


    • Law firm & e-billing experience a plus.


    • Ability to accurately and efficiently enter data into computer software and systems.


    • Basic mathematical skills.


    • Good verbal communication skills.


    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Process A/P invoices.


    • Process check requests and employee reimbursements.


    • Run client conflicts.


    • Set up new client matters.


    • Assist with client billing process.


    • Assist with attorney accounting inquires.


    • Oversee monthly firm expenses and incorporate into client billing.


    • Assist with entering attorney time.

    • Back-up receptionist & facilities as needed.

    This job operates in a professional office environment, primarily in-office.

This position requires prolonged periods working in a stationary position at a desk and on a computer. This position requires the ability to move about the office, use file cabinets and office machinery and occasionally move office products up to 15 pounds.

    Expected Work Hours

    Usual and customary days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., but may vary depending on business needs. Occasional overtime may be necessary.
