- Manage and monitor workload of Production employees.
- Strive to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines.
- Interpret specifications, job orders, company policies and appropriate SOP's for Production employees and processes.
- Enforce GMP, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Implementation of Lean theory or like system for organization and operations.
- Recommend and implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality or efficiency.
- Conduct personnel actions such as hiring, promotion and termination.
- Ensure uptime of equipment through management of production mechanics.
- Ensure all production documents are clear, accurate, and complete.
- Conduct and review yearly and 3 month performance reviews of direct and indirect reports in Production Department.
- Confer with other supervisors/managers to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
- Provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
- Obtain information through observation and receipt for all relevant sources.
- Calculate labor and equipment requirements using standard formulas.
- Responsible for review and update of current and future Production SOP's.
- Create, monitor, and manage to metrics approved by upper management.
- Produce products to schedule and ensure the highest quality.
- Develop actionable plans to increase capacity according to business needs.
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant industry experience.
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing management.
- Understand written and spoken information in work related documents, trainings and daily operations.
- The ability to organize and motivate employees.
- Knowledge of statistics and their application.
- Working Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma and production theory.
- Ability to take initiative & work independently within a collaborative group environment.
- Multi-shift production management.
- Directing Employees in a high paced environment.
- Critical thinking.
- The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Able to work with a diverse group of people.
