    Trailways of New York is Hiring Coach Bus Drivers And Paying Overtime at Time-And-A-Half

    When getting there matters, our modern well-equipped motor coaches carry passengers throughout New York State, and into Montreal, Toronto and Detroit, Michigan.

    We have immediate employment opportunities for full-time Coach Bus Drivers based out of the Syracuse, New York area.

    The preferred candidate is an initiative-taker who manages their time safely and effectively with little supervision, and has:

    • One or more years of experience operating a commercial vehicle, preferably a motor coach or school bus.
    • A valid class B or A commercial driver's license.
    • An unrestricted Passenger endorsement (ability to transport 15 passengers or more) Operators with a valid class A or B license without a Passenger endorsement may have an opportunity to obtain one as part of the 5-week training program.
    • A valid passport or enhanced driver's license for travel to Canada.
    • An acceptable driving record.
    • Open availability for Full-Time Drivers. You must be able to work a 5–6-day work week including nights, weekends, and holidays. Part-Time or Seasonal Drivers can provide us with a set availability.
    • The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and DOT physical exam.
    • Strong customer service and communication skills.
    • The love of driving and the willingness to travel.

    Your benefits:

    • Generous $5000 Sign-On bonus.
    • Starting rate is $26.50 per hour for Full-Time, Part-Time & Seasonal Drivers.
    • Overtime at $39.75 per hour after 40 hours in a week-for Full-Time, Part-Time & Seasonal Drivers.
    • 5-week training program paid at the rate of $22.00 an hour and $33.00 an hour after 40 hours in a week.
