Position OverviewPrimary Function:Childcare providers assist in supervising the day-to-day activities of up to 40 children ages 6 weeks to 5 years at the University's childcare center including assisting with and leading educational & recreational activities/programs, serving meals & snacks, and supervising rest periods. As a substitute, the ability to adapt in different classrooms based on the current need is necessary. Overall, the role of a substitute teacher is to ensure that students continue to receive guidance in the absence of their regular teacher, fostering a positive and educational environment.This position receives direct supervision in which assignments and instructions are clearly and regularly explained. The supervisor regularly reviews completed assignments to ensure they are correct.
Position Appointment Details:
Position DescriptionTypical Duties & Responsibilities:Assist in leading/supervising childcare program activities including educational, recreational, arts & crafts, and special events.Participate in games. Teach activities such as simple drawing, painting, songs, etc.Maintain order & discipline.
