- US Citizen
- 6+ years proven experience and understanding of the federal government space.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
- Experienced project manager
- Demonstrated Technical writing skills.
- Excellent research skills.
- Excellent Communications Skills
- Ability to understand the products and services and create a proposal that outlines how the company can meet the client's needs.
- Help create strategies that help with the proposal development.
- Participate in collaborative business meetings to update key stakeholders.
- Rewrite proposals according to feedback.
- Write clear and concise proposals within a specific time, that may be limited to a few pages or multiple (dozens) of pages in length.
- Conduct presentations as needed.
- Understand and explain complex technical concepts.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Work to tight deadlines.
- An understanding of the IT sales process.
- Experience in the IT industry proposal writing software, such as MS Word, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Publisher, or Adobe Photoshop.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office or Google Docs.
- Ability to provide internal training to GSSI staff when required.
- A certificate in grant, proposal writing, technical writing, and/or nonprofit management.
- Business Development experience.

Job DescriptionGSSI Solutions is ready to welcome a Proposal Writer fully experienced in government contracts and project management, with a deep understanding of how organizations and governments work, who can assist GSSI in long term growth leading to continued business success by continuing to boost revenue and push our vision forward.

Primary Responsibilities:
GSSI Solutions is searching for an experienced Proposal Writer who can partner with our SME team to drive measurable results that benefit our business. Our ideal candidate will be able to provide deep extensive research, development, writing, editing, and relationship building, for RFP, RFI, sources sought, direct award and RFQ's, using various government platforms such as , and GSA.
The individual selected must be an analytical person experienced in navigating several government platforms, recognize potential opportunities that match the GSSI Capabilities Statement including NAICS codes, present potential opportunities within a team environment, and effectively write outstanding proposals to meet the government requirements.
As a member of the GSSI team, the Proposal Writer must be able to coordinate, set priorities, follow-through, provide detailed project management plans, initiate calls, and speak with clients on behalf of GSSI, network, proactively engage with and meet with clients, and build external relationships. This person must have the ability to work closely with management, participate in GSSI update meetings, help to sustain existing relationships, and continue to refine GSSI capabilities as related to the business strategy.

Required:
· Experienced in accessing and using government platforms effectively, including , GSA-IT, eBuy, 8a, HUBZone, and other government associations.
