    CSI is looking for a Video Assistant to help with our annual company meeting. This role will require 20-40 hours per week. During the final week of June 17th, this role may work up to 50 hours.

    The Video Assistant will produce various short video projects for the purpose of an upcoming event. Your talent will lie in interview style filming, including framing of a subject, lighting, and generating questions to produce an interview script. You will plan, schedule, work with on-screen talent, film locations, supplies, and staging as needed for the production. Listening skills and intellectual curiosity are critical to the success of this position, along with the ability to coach on-camera talent.

    The Video Assistant will work closely with our Video & Content Producer. Using your strong communication, storytelling, and training skills, you will synthesize information from multiple sources into clear, concise, and relevant messages via video and audio. You will write scripts, film, edit videos, and incorporate your expert filming and design techniques to produce high-quality professional results.

    As a part of the creative team, this individual must be ambitious, innovative, and passionate about providing the highest quality of work to reflect CSI's brand.

    Primary Functions
    Videography & Content

    • Produce CSI interview style videos to further support product training and knowledge sharing

    • Possible assistance with kick-off videos for the summer event

    • Develop messaging to inspire and engage employees with the CSI stories and brand

    • Interview craftsmen, project managers, sales, and leadership to produce compelling event content

    • Coach on-camera talent ensure quality content

    • Assist with employee and customer events for audio visual support in the MEC, including recordings

    • Other projects as required

    • Follow established visual design standards set forth by our brand guidelines

    Position Requirements:
    Education/Training:

    • High school diploma or equivalent, required
    • BA/BS degree in film, journalism, or media related field
    • Technical (mechanical) emphasis, preferred


    Experience:

    • 3-5 years filming and editing in B2B industrial or scientific field
    • Managing multiple video projects, including scriptwriting, instructional design, visual communication, and storytelling techniques
    • Familiarity with training methods, tools, and techniques
    • Proficiency with Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve
    • Animation and graphic skills, audio production for podcast, streaming skills required
    • 3-5 years of interviewing and videography experience would likely suffice:
    • Proficiency in the use of professional editing software (Final Cut, Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, etc.)
    • Ability to film in an interview style, including framing of subject, lighting, and generating questions and follow up questions.
    • Familiarity with photo, audio, and lighting equipment for use in videography.
    • Knowledge of the principles of photography and videography, including an understanding of proper exposure, composition, and color grading.


    This position requires the ability to interact with employees and vendors both verbally and in writing, remain in a stationary position for 80% of the workday, have close visual acuity, and constantly operate a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as a phone, copy/fax/scan machine, computer keyboard and mouse with or without reasonable accommodation. This position also requires the ability to lift, stoop, bend, and lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
