    Description

    The Manufacturing Technician will engage in various development projects involving prototyping and testing of products for life cycle management and sustaining within the elastomeric component business unit. Key responsibilities include solving technical problems during prototype manufacturing and testing, supporting R&D engineers in new product development activities, and effectively communicating results to project team members.

    Manufacturing Technician Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with R&D teams to develop, test, and manufacture products/processes related to elastomeric components and packaging systems.
    • Prepare work instructions, SOPs, and qualification documentation.
    • Set up test equipment, conduct testing, and accurately document activities and observations.
    • Troubleshoot product designs, processes, and study protocols.
    • Coordinate resources/materials for projects and assist in equipment installation and maintenance.
    • Perform in-process inspections, equipment maintenance, and calibration.
    • Conduct electronic transactions for inventory control and data collection.
    • Provide training to other technicians as needed.
    • Adhere to regulations, policies, and safety rules.

    Manufacturing Technician Basic Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
    • 3-5 years of experience.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; SAP experience beneficial.

    Manufacturing Technician Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Experience in manufacturing processing, including molding, finishing, packaging, and equipment maintenance.
    • Familiarity with electronic and mechanical manufacturing equipment.
    • Experience in elastomer prototyping and/or manufacturing.
    • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
    • Strong mechanical ability and troubleshooting skills.
    • Proficiency in analysis using various techniques and good documentation skills.
