    Description

    Job Title: Commercial Electrician

    We're seeking an experienced Commercial Electrician to join our team at Brda Electric, a family-owned business since 1989.

    As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for various tasks, including installing and repairing wiring, commercial tenant finishes, build-outs, service calls, and lighting jobs. You'll also play a vital role in supervising and training apprentices on the job.

    Responsibilities:

    • Run and manage commercial projects
    • Install, maintain, modify, and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment (480 volts and less)
    • Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code
    • Wire, inspect, and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches, and switch gears
    • Office build-outs
    • Office remodels
    • New wiring
    • Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturers' installation manuals to complete assigned projects
    • Survey electrical systems, circuits, and plans
    • Maintain accurate digital records/pictures of work performed and materials used
    • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times
    • Supervise and share knowledge with apprentices

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma/GED required
    • 4+ years experience in the commercial electrical trade
    • Demonstrable knowledge and skills for electrical installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment
    • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
    • Ability to run conduit
    • Low voltage wiring experience preferred but not required
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to establish and maintain professional, positive relationships with both customers and coworkers
    • Must possess a valid driver's license and live in the Greater St. Louis area
