    Description
    SUMMARY beMatrix is looking to add a USA Procurement Specialist to our growing team. The USA Procurement Specialist is the primary control point for all goods purchased that support our US Operations. The USA Procurement Specialist will work closely with beMatrix Procurement in Belgium, along with domestic partners to ensure a healthy supply chain is established and maintained for our manufacturing operation. This position requires relentless evaluation of our ERP data, forecast, and sales trends to adjust purchase plans to ensure continued success.

    The USA Procurement Specialist will play a critical role in balancing our inventory costs with our customer demands. The successful candidate will have a passion for data analytics and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently to identify and solve problems before they impact Operations or Customers.

    The Procurement Specialist oversees the company's supply of products and services. This position facilitates the purchasing for all items in the beMatrix catalog. Ensures quality and affordable products are sourced in a reasonable time and stock components are in house and available to meet production demand.

    Responsible for sourcing some USA vendors and working with Global Procurement and R&D to get those vendors approved.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES are included in the list below. Other duties may be assigned, as needed.
    • Coordinate procurement actions to support USA Operations.
    • Work closely with the various stakeholders to understand current and future needs and create a procurement schedule to support those needs.
    • Perform some domestic sourcing activities with outside vendors/suppliers and work with beMatrix partners in Global Purchasing and R&D to ensure all product needs are met
    • Develop strong relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve business.
    • Calculate and determine material stocking needs by using ERP system and spreadsheets.
    • Manage our MRP system for data accuracy and ensure all orders are placed in time to meet our demand.
    • Create policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation.
    • Manipulate and analyze data utilizing Microsoft Excel to determine appropriate stock levels.
    • Track incoming freight orders and effectively communicate timeline to stakeholders
    • Assist with seeking competitive bids and negotiate purchase contracts for key supplies and services that are not purchased for beMatrix HQ.
    • Develop benchmarking and cost modeling to support pricing model and inventory levels.
    • Identify areas of improvement to drive performance and business results to continually improve internal processes in working with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
    • Assignment of (minimal) USA key vendor accounts to provide oversight of customer communication, sales, support & customer training.
    • Position requires occasional travel to Belgium for training.
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field, -OR- 5 years of relevant experience in place of a formal degree program
    • Proven knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures
    • Proficient in using computerized inventory systems
    • Experience using Business Central Microsoft Dynamics is plus
    • Experience working with a global manufacturer is a plus
    • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions · Excellent communication and negotiation to collaborate with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and the ability to work with all levels of staff
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Understanding of LEAN Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, ISO 9001, a plus
    • Ability to conduct self according to beMatrix's operating values, which include operating with honesty and integrity, and in a spirit of teamwork and respect
    • Must be able to support a Manufacturing Team that currently works 1 shift, M-F, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM with occasional needs outside of those core hours
    • This is an on-site position that will require both traditional desk work in an office environment and hands-on work in the warehouse environment
    • Must be able to organize, analyze, and present data using Microsoft Suite Products
    • Must pass Background and Drug Screen
