    Overview
    Utah State University seeks a highly organized and strategic individual to plans, develops, and implement marketing and communications strategies and campaigns promoting programs, services, events, and departments within the Division of Student Affairs (SA) and the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). The Marketing Manager (Marketer III) will handle marketing and communications projects from start to finish with total ownership while leveraging strategic marketing, design, digital, video, photography, news release, and copywriting resources within University Marketing and Communications (UMAC) and Student Media. This position has multiple reporting lines with Student Affairs, DEI and UMAC.

    Responsibilities
    Create and execute marketing and communications strategies, plans, campaigns, and projects that may include but are not limited to:
    developing and executing media strategies in collaboration with UMAC's strategic communications team.
    creating video content for online, social media, and possibly broadcast distribution.
    planning and developing online content that follows best practices for accessibility.
    conducting formal and informal research projects.
    determining budget guidelines and managing project costs.
    Provide strategic and comprehensive direction to the UMAC creative team via Click Up (project management software) and to the Student Media team for marketing projects.
    Plan or assist with planning, coordinating, and promoting special events such as open houses, book signings, fundraisers, outreach and community events, tours, banquets, exhibits, and product or service fairs.
    Write marketing copy for a wide range of formats, including print, websites, and social media.
    Oversee electronic communications strategies, flows and digital platforms including CRM communications and texting.
    Manage the purchase and placement of print, web, and social media advertising.
    Assemble and create content for weekly emails and monthly e-newsletters.
    Conduct or assist in conducting portions of market research activities, including analyzing data, to identify targeted populations, including potential underwriters and sponsors, and identify the appropriate media for distribution of promotional information.
    Maintain database records and files, including mailing and contributor or donor lists and publication distribution information.
    Establish and maintain schedules and budgets.
    Communicate with customers within and outside of the university to develop programs and campaigns.
    Co-lead and support the Student Experience Assessment Team (SEAT) with marketing needs.
    Train and supervise USU Student Association officers, Division webmasters, Student Affairs directors, and other stakeholders to ensure that USU programs, services, and brand are consistent and of a high quality.
    Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
    Qualifications
    Minimum Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communications or related field plus four years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education plus experience is required.
