OUR EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
Every year, our emergency department treats more than 63,000 patients. Our highly skilled clinical team of emergency and critical care-trained physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, and nurses provide treatment around the clock, seven days a week. Ancillary staff includes nursing assistants, technicians, unit secretaries, social work staff, and volunteers.
Designated as a Level III Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Committee on Trauma - one of only four community hospitals on Long Island to earn this designation - the hospital is able to treat all trauma cases from mid-Suffolk to as far east as Montauk, making us an integral part of Suffolk Countys Emergency Medical Service program.

COMMUNITY
Long Island Community Hospital is located in Patchogue, a town on the South Shore of Long Island in Suffolk County, NY. Our area has much to offer, and we are sure that you will find it is a great place to live and work. The hospital is located approximately 50 miles from Manhattan and 30 miles from Southampton by the Long Island Railroad. We are also minutes away from a major airport - MacArthur Airport - in the town of Islip.
Long Island boasts some of the premier beaches in the Northeast. These include beaches in the Hamptons, on Fire Island, and the famous Robert Moses State Park, which offers visitors five miles of oceanfront beach to enjoy. Amenities in the park also include a boat basin, fishing piers, picnic areas, and an 18-hole pitch & putt golf course.
