    OPPORTUNITYThe primary function of this role is to manage all aspects of the plant including the productivity of employees.

    This position ensures that the plant runs efficiently and safely while maintaining optimal operation by assigning employees, developing production schedules, creating work schedules and hiring and training new staff.

    In addition, role formulates or approves short-and long-term operating objectives in areas such as cost reduction, quality improvement, new product development and/or integration as undertaken at the plant level.

    KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIESOversee the Maryville, MO plant location; collect and analyze data, ensure the safety of both plant and workers and monitor the production equipment to ensure it remains in good shape for optimal output.

    Maintain clean and safe workplaceAnalyze production costs and inventory to establish areas for improvementReport on key production metricsImplement the company's safety program to ensure safe, healthy and accident-free work environment.

    Partners with HR to resolve worker grievances/complaints or relationship issues.

    Recommends the hiring, termination, discipline, promotion, demotion of plant employeesEffectively communicate departmental and plant wide goals to employees in a productive mannerPlan production operations while establishing priorities and sequencing for manufacturing products.

    Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.

    Reviews production scrap and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.

    Constantly strive for continuous improvement through lean manufacturing, team building and systems improvementEnsure products manufactured meet or exceed customer needs and company quality requirements by putting assurance measures and sustainment plans in place.

    Ensure the company values are demonstrated by every employeeForecast and plan for the plant's ongoing operational needs, including technology, facilities, equipment and manpower.

    Provide leadership by communicating well, maintaining good business relationships and representing the plant in a positive light through community and various trade associations.

    Provide leadership for safety by ensuring the management team and everyone on-site treats the safety of all employees and contractors as a core value and requirement of doing business.

    Provide outstanding leadership in a motivational style to all direct reports and employees and challenge them to surpass normal expectations.

    Strive for an injury free environment through strict adherence of all policies and regulations and employee accountability.

    Work with and support plant and corporate Human Resources to ensure policies and procedures are effectively adhered toWork with corporate Controller to prepare all annual budgets, forecasts and strategic plans.

    QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience6 years+ experience in production/plant management; 3-5 years of leading in a manufacturing environmentEXPERIENCEDeep knowledge of production management and manufacturing operationsDemonstrated ability to write reports, draft budgets and meet operational targetsRegulatory requirements for operational plantsProficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel WorSKILLSHigh level of attention to detail and organizational skillsCan think and act strategically as well as tactically to analyze, plan and execute operational strategiesAccurately forecasts production and business targetsDemonstrated ability to hire high performing plant employeesExcellent communication skills (written, oral, listening, presentation)Works collaboratively with other team members and inspires others to follow him/herBuilds rapport, understands business requirements of senior decision makers and what it will take to meet production expectationsStrong decision-making skills and a results-driven approachBENEFITSWe offer a comprehensive compensation & benefits package
