    Alta Science and Engineering, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for an

    Environmental Project Manager

    with experience in environmental site assessment and remediation projects. The position will be

    based in one of our Inland Northwest offices (Kellogg, Moscow, or Spokane, WA) .

    The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, organized, personable, and detail-oriented individual who can work well on a team and independently, in a fast-paced environment.

    This is a Regular Full-Time (40 hrs/wk) benefited position.


    Responsibilities:


    Apply professional and technical experience to support and/or oversee assessment and remediation of various hazardous waste/petroleum impacted sites, including but not limited to CERCLA sites, Brownfields sites, and mine and mill sites.

    Provide support in the development and review of technical documents associated with CERCLA, Brownfields and State-led site investigation remedial action plan processes (including but not limited to risk assessments, remedial

    investigation/feasibility

    studies, data summary reports, workplans, etc.).

    Provide technical support and oversight of environmental investigation/site characterization including planning, implementation, analysis, and reporting.


    Direct and/or conduct analysis of environmental data to delineate nature and extent of contamination and quantify human health and ecological risks.


    Coordinate with project stakeholders including state, federal, and tribal agencies to ensure that project objectives and timelines are being met.

    Develop project scopes of work, task orders, and cost estimates. Manage project schedules, budgets, and technical teams.

    Support marketing and business development in environmental services.

    Foster client relationships and embody company culture.

    Minimum qualifications of successful applicant:
    BS in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology or other closely related technical degree; MS preferred

    6+ years of experience with environmental site assessment and remediation

    Experience developing and/or providing technical review of site assessments, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and other technical reports.

    Experience with CERCLA and related federal and state regulations and guidance

    Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail

    Strong

    scientific/technical

    capabilities, along with organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

    Ability to travel periodically for site visits and meetings
    Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel

    Valid driver's license and insurable driving record


    Preferred qualifications:
    Project management experience

    Experience working on Brownfields assessment and remediation projects

    Experience working with state and/or federal remediation programs

    40-Hour or 24-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Training (per 29 CFR with current 8-hour refresher training

    Salary Range
    $65,000 - $95,000 per year (Depending on years of experience)
