- Reviewing claims or lawsuits filed against clients to assess the merits of the case and determine potential defenses.
- Conducting thorough legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, case law, and legal precedents to develop effective defense strategies.
- Collaborating with clients to develop comprehensive defense strategies tailored to the specific facts and legal issues of each case.
- Analyzing documentary evidence, such as contracts, policies, medical records, and other relevant materials, and preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
- Representing clients in various legal proceedings, including court hearings, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
- Engaging in settlement negotiations with opposing parties or their attorneys to resolve disputes efficiently and favorably for clients.
- Maintaining regular communication with clients to provide updates on case developments, discuss legal strategies, and address any concerns or questions they may have.
- Managing multiple cases simultaneously, including setting deadlines, coordinating with support staff, and ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures.
- Taking depositions.
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in the State of Louisiana
