    Responsibilities

    Under the general supervision of the Associate Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations, the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations designs, implements and manages a comprehensive proactive development plan focused on expanding and enhancing corporate and foundation relationships by directing and coordinating activities related to obtaining corporate and foundation financial support and manages and grows CSUN's network of institutional partners. The incumbent provides service for the entire CSUN community and acts as a strategic partner in realizing full leadership in developing, managing, and sustaining the university's relationship with corporate and foundation entities.

    • Responsible for collaborating with all college based and central fundraisers to be sure that a strategic process is applied to all solicitations to maximize the rate of funding success, ensures that internal measures are being taken to further corporate relationships, and to meet the expectations of corporations and their executive leadership.
    • Builds a case for significant investments that will be built upon a strong, multifaceted relationships with key corporations.
    • Responsible for Pre-award grant administration, initiating and managing corporate and foundation grant solicitations at CSUN.

    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor's degree in a job-related field.
    • Equivalent to five years of progressively responsible professional/administrative experience; with 2 of the five years in a managerial role preferred.
    • Strong work ethic and a commitment to reach ever-increasing goals within higher education preferred.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Leadership

    • Thorough knowledge in securing grants, using research tools, using proposal writing techniques and processes, utilizing technical skills such as common office programs, donor record systems (Raiser's Edge helpful), tracking, and messaging applications and Internet research.
    • Ability and specialized skills to: building strong corporate and foundation partnerships; lead groups and multiple projects as well as function as a part of collaborative team; work with a diverse student body, faculty, staff and constituents.
    • Ability to travel, including some nights and weekends. Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills.
    • Lead diverse teams to support the operational mission and vision of employers by fostering an ethical, inclusive and collegial work environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to support ongoing improvement through courageous, resilient, and catalytic leadership.
    • Lead varying initiatives through a collaborative, service-oriented and communicative approach.

    Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

    • Salary is commensurate with knowledge, skills, and experience. The University offers excellent fringe benefits.
    • The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $120,000 - $134,820 per year, dependent upon qualifications and experience.
    • The position is currently hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days remote); however, this is subject to change based on student and/or operational needs.
