    Description

    Serve as a nurse anesthetist for a broad range of operations in an ambulatory surgery center (Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center).

    Administer anesthetic agents and supportive treatment to patients undergoing surgery and other medical procedures.

    Teach and perform research in one or more phases of the nursing field, and consult/advise nurses who provide direct care to patients.

    Excise skill in the modification/adaptation of anesthetic techniques and in the administration of general, regional, and local anesthesia.
    Recognize and correct potential complications related to anesthetic care.
