    How Is This Role Important to Our Work?

    The Corporate Receptionist is responsible for greeting associates and visitors at the Blue Cross Blue Shield MN headquarters. The Receptionist provides information and direction to customers, visitors, and other guests in addition to performing administrative and clerical support for a variety of areas within the organization. This role will be 32 hours/week and in the office Monday through Thursday.

    A Day in the Life:
    • Greets associates, customers, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person's visit and connects them to the appropriate Blue Cross associate while maintaining a clean and presentable reception area.
    • Maintains office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges).
    • Answers calls to the reception area in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Performs a variety of administrative and clerical support tasks in support of the organization. This may include booking travel, creating expense reports and other related duties.
    • Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and notifies associates that something has arrived for them.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    Nice to Have:
    • Knowledge of ServiceNow or other ticket management tools.
    Required Skills and Experiences:
    • 1+ years of related experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
    • Professional attitude and appearance.
    • Excellent verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
    • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
    • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
    • Understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
    Role Designation:
    Onsite

    Role designation definition: Teleworking is working full time remote. Hybrid is a combination of working onsite and remotely. Onsite is full-time onsite.
