- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
- Diagnose mental health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage medications for clients with psychiatric disorders.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
- Make external referrals and recommendations as needed.
- Collaborate with therapists, counselors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.
- Provide education to clients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and continuing education to stay current with best practices in psychiatric care.
- Offer crisis intervention and support as needed.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current and unrestricted licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in the State of Iowa.
- DEA & Iowa CSA Registration.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting preferred.
- Strong clinical skills in psychiatric diagnosis and medication management.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team as a Medication Prescriber. The PMHNP will be responsible for providing psychiatric evaluations, diagnosing mental health conditions, and prescribing medications as part of a holistic treatment plan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatric nursing, excellent clinical skills, prompt and thorough documentation, and a passion for improving the mental health of our clients.
