    Job Summary

    Applies acquired skills and professional clinical application concepts for small to medium-sized projects of moderate scope. Operates independently within a defined scope of responsibilities.

    The Affiliate Provisioning Coordinator functions as the primary support contact and coordinator in affiliate provisioning and is a key role in supporting access to UCSF applications for all UCSF affiliate clinics.

    They work under the direction of the Affiliate Network Administrative Director and will integrate closely with UCSF Health IT, Core Information Technology, support teams, and operations from various stakeholders at UCSF and its clinical affiliates.

    They coordinate the resolution of access issues that arise during the provisioning process.

    Key operational activities include primary responsibility to understand policies, procedures and constraints of the clinical or business operations supported by provisioning.

    In-depth and precise investigation and documentation of operational specifications and various application maintenance functionality is required. Key technical activities include the analysis of new workflows to determine how current workflows should be modified, building and involves planning databases, including schema

    definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, data security, operational guidelines and protection and tables, and conducting system testing and build validation.

    The Affiliate Provisioning The coordinator plans databases, develops and documents internal procedures, and establishes change control processes for the workflow.

    This position also ensures the accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools. May establish database management systems, standards, guidelines, and quality assurance for database deliverables. This does not include technologies that are typically deemed desktop-centric (i.e., Access, Filemaker Pro, etc.).

    The Affiliate Provisioning Coordinator also develops user training aids and trains end users in workflow and use of the process.

    They function as the primary contact to troubleshoot problems and questions from end-users during training, go-live, stabilization, and ongoing support.

    Successful candidates are skilled communicators who make decisions independently and in collaboration with others up and down the project structure.

    Attention to detail is a critical skill for this position. Successful candidates enjoy helping other users to learn and adapt to the use of the process.

    Department Description

    The Affiliate Network (Prima Clinics) provides operational support to community affiliates.

    Required Qualifications

    Three years of relevant experience
    Working knowledge of clinical applications systems and functions, including development, implementation, user support, maintenance, and system testing and evaluation.

    Working knowledge of departmental systems and procedures for documentation and reporting, with the ability to perform tests, and to analyze, and interpret relevant data.

    High-functioning team skills, including active listening, rapport building, receiving and delegating work assignments, and escalating and resolving problems with a proven ability to influence/persuade all levels of stakeholders
    Academic Medical Center Experience
    Proficient in MS Office Suite of products

    Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose problems and develop multiple options for effective and timely resolution of issues and problems.

    Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills to collaborate productively on a team and to provide training and support to clinical providers and staff.

    Detail-oriented, with demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, set schedules, and complete projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.

    Demonstrated skills in written and verbal communications, with the ability to convey technical information to clinical users in a clear and concise manner.

    Preferred Qualifications


    Bachelor's degree in health care information technology, computer science, or related area, and / or equivalent combination of experience / training.

    Strong working knowledge of Epic
    Expert Smartsheet, DocuSign skills
    Experience using Hitachi, UC Learning System, IT ServiceNow, Allscripts, ECHO
