Responsible for performing clinical tasks under the direction of the RN and/or Physician in the Physician Clinic.


Reports to:
Market Practice Manager

Under the direction of an RN and/or Physician, contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN and/or Physician.

Drag Edit DeletePerforms plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care. May administer
medication. Documents patient care given.
Drag Edit DeleteMonitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN and/or Physician, patient, and families.
Drag Edit DeleteWorks as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Drag Edit DeleteTeaches and reinforces education appropriately to patient and/or family throughout clinic visit.

Minimum Education
LPN education required to obtain LPN licensureDrag Edit Delete
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Computer skills required.

Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association training center Required to be obtained within 90 days of employment, if not current upon hireDrag Edit Delete

Minimum Work Experience
1 year LPN experience Required
Experience in Family Practice and/or Specialty Physician Clinic Preferred
