- At least one year's experience in a nursing home facility providing care for the elderly or chronically ill.
- Ability to instruct and lead discussions.
- At least one year's experience as a teacher, trainer, health care personnel instructor, or direct nurse aide supervisor. This must include experience in lesson planning, lesson delivery, student evaluation and remediation in a position such as in-service coordinator or staff educator in a healthcare setting, or completion of a minimum of 24 Board of Registration in Nursing approved continuing education hours in curriculum development, teaching adult learners and student evaluation.
- Commitment to and demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff and student body.
- All candidates must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Current CPR/First Aid/BLS/AED certification or instructor.
- Appointment is subject to SORI (Sexual Offense Registry Information) background check, and a publicly accessible Massachusetts CORI (Criminal Offense Registry Information) background check.

- Duties and Responsibilities
- The instructor will follow the established curriculum and course content that has been designed for the Center of Workforce Development.
- Provide lectures and hand-on instruction
- Create a learner-centered classroom environment and differentiate instruction based on the needs of the students.
- Maintain updated course description, course outline, and syllabi as appropriate
- Evaluate training effectiveness so that students learn the specific skill sets and knowledge needed to obtain certification and to pursue a career as a nurse aide/or home health aide.
- Will keep accurate attendance, grade, and skills information as required by the Center for Workforce Development.
- Ensure that the training program standards are met.
- Compiles and reports grade-related information in line with Workforce Development requirements.

The candidate selected will be responsible for instructing and preparing our students for the State Certified Nurse Aide Certification test, providing front-line service for our students enrolled in the Non-Credit Workforce Training Course in the Allied Health field.
