    About the Senior Manager, Account Management Position:

    The Senior Manager, Account Management is a member of the account management team responsible for overall client satisfaction through managing the day-to-day operational activities for the client. This position is accountable for supporting and monitoring program service delivery for clients working cross-functionally with all Avalon operational areas. This role may also manage a small portfolio of clients. The Senior Manager, Account Management reports to the Executive Vice President, Account Management.

    This position is eligible for remote work, but quarterly travel to the corporate office in Tampa, Florida may be required.

    Senior Manager, Account Management - Essential Responsibilities:
    • Build strong partnerships and rapport with key executives and managers within assigned set of client partners
    • Support Avalon Vice Presidents, Account Management by reviewing client performance and analyzing contract performance and financials
    • Preparation of QBRs
    • Build business cases for revenue and produce expansion efforts with current clients
    • Responsible for the reporting and analytics for assigned client book
    • Upkeep of the internal CRM system
    • Liaison and escalation point for internal Client Success Team
    • Manage client implementation change controls
    • Manage client contracts, facilitate deliverables, and drive initiatives if assigned a client directly
    • Support assigned contract renewals including amendment execution
    Senior Manager, Account Management - Minimum Qualifications:
    • 7+ years' experience in healthcare account management
    • Bachelor's degree or significant and relevant direct work experience in lieu of degree
    • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the week to client sites and providers, as needed
    • Knowledge of the healthcare industry, payers, and regulations required
    • Demonstrated health plan business acumen skills
    • Ability to manage projects
    • Solid analytical skills with the ability to generate reports
    • Strong ability to use data to "tell the story"
    • Creative ability to problem solve
    • Ability to work cross-functionally to proactively communicate and to resolve issues with the appropriate sense of urgency
    • Proven success in matrix environment
    • Ability to interact effectively with counterparts at assigned clients
    Senior Manager, Account Management - Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in a start-up or early-stage company helpful
    • Knowledge of reference laboratory business, esoteric tests and processes strongly desire
    • Experience working with Medicare and Medicaid programs
