    OVERVIEW


    Cadrex Mukilteo is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III to provide technical expertise and engineering support throughout the facility with an emphasis towards establishing the manufacturing order of operations of products.

    The Mukilteo location specializes in CNC milling and turning and assembly of highly complex, tightly toleranced, and critical products focused within the Aerospace, Defense, Space, and new technologies industries.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Responsible for defining the manufacturing processes and order of operations (Manufacturing Planning) involved with manufacturing all complex parts and assemblies that come through our facility
    Utilizing the knowledge of manufacturing processes to identify and sequence the most logical manufacturing operations, while understanding the limitations surrounding the processes involved to mitigate risk exposure
    Core daily activities include developing & maintaining manufacturing order of operations for new and pre-existing products, generating the overall structure of assembly work instructions, identifying the need for production tooling and fixtures, and providing manufacturing engineering guidance where needed
    Work closely with the Planning and Engineering team, as well as communications with other departments such as Production, Quality, Program Management, Purchasing, and Sales

    Requirements


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Familiar with low -volume, high-mix manufacturing
    Knowledge of interpreting engineering drawings with GD&T and understanding specifications
    Thorough understanding of typical processes such as milling, turning, application of surface finishes, and assembly methods.
    Experience with ProShop or similar ERP software
    Effective interpersonal skills and verbal & written organizational skills
    Capacity to effectively prioritize & manage workload
    Experienced in SolidWorks for modeling and drafting
    Proficient with Microsoft Office products
    Ability to travel to off-site locations locally and domestically, when required


    EDUCATION
    Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or closely related discipline

    • 4 years of relevant or related experience

    SCHEDULE
    Full-time, M-F


    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.


    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear.

    The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
