Banner Health is looking for a Patient Care Assistant to join the team in the Surgical Step Down Unit, catering to open heart and thoracic surgical patients. The role involves providing various forms of assistance, such as helping with mobility, monitoring blood sugars, and attending to basic patient care needs like bathing and toileting. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in acute care or rehabilitation facilities, holding a CNA/LNA license from the State Board of Nursing.
As a Patient Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include delivering routine patient care to enhance comfort and contribute to the overall care plan. You'll be tasked with collecting patient data, maintaining medical records, and supporting unit operations to ensure smooth nursing department functioning. Your presence will be crucial to fostering a collaborative team environment.
This full-time Day Shift role runs from 7 am to 7:30 pm, with weekend shifts every other Saturday and Sunday. You'll also enjoy additional weekend and night differentials on your salary package.

JOB SUMMARY: This position involves delivering routine patient care, collecting data, and ensuring efficient nursing unit operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge, current BLS and CNA certification, and medical clerical experience are required. Proficiency in medical terminology and computer skills is essential.
PREFERRED: LNA licensure in Arizona, recent healthcare experience, and completion of a unit secretary program.
