    Summary Description:
    We are looking for an account management intern.

    In this role, you will be part of the client services team working directly with a wide array of clients.

    You will be a part of a team that supports Rakuten Advertising clients in their affiliate marketing initiatives. These clients span luxury retail, beauty, electronics, travel, finance, etc.

    You will witness the day to day of managing a client portfolio and see how our team helps our clients achieve their goals.

    You will also be part of a team that interfaces with numerous internal groups such as analytics, marketing, billing, etc.

    This role will give you a great understanding of digital marketing from both an agency and client perspective.


    Responsibilities:

    • Manage communication and act as liaison between publishers, advertisers, account managers, and clients
    • Update client promotions, creative and communications as necessary
    • Audit creative and placements as mandated by account team/client
    • Monitor client support email/calls and respond or route inquiries appropriately
    • Ensure client issues are resolved in a timely manner
    • Review partnered affiliate websites to identify optimization opportunities
    • Monitor projects to ensure deadlines are met
    • Prepare and run performance reports
    • Create prospect lists using reports and independent research

    Required Skills and Experience:
    Current college/university enrollment. Communication, marketing, business majors preferred.


    Capabilities required:

    • Proven track record of execution
    • Technical Abilities: Must be able to quickly learn proprietary software to manage campaigns and report results. Solid proficiency with Excel for client-ready reports and presentations. Ability to learn PowerPoint and Rakuten tools and processes
    • Communication Skills: Exemplary written and oral communication skills
    • Detail orientation
    • Attention to deadlines

    At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the hourly rate for this role will be between $20 - $30 per hour.

    Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location
