Description
Steel Point is responsible for understanding and analyzing the broadband development investment costs and associated technology options that would be required to close the digital divide across the U.S.
The data analyst will be responsible for maintaining an efficient and effective product creation data model and driving impactful analytics.
This person will become an expert on the multiple data sets and the related analytics to support those data sets to provide input to the analysis used to quantify and inform where unserved and underserved locations are located across the U.S.
The role will provide base in class dashboards aimed at driving successful execution against the Presidents goals of promoting universal broadband access and adoption.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field with a focus on analytics with working knowledge of modeling (regression, machine learning, feature selection, dimension reduction, validation), data (extracting, preparing, munging, validating), and building analytics pipelines.
Must possess knowledge of business process, data or information management, and data quality standards and processes
Excellent team player able to work independently and with cross functional teams
Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to juggle multiple project tasks
Experience with analytics tools and programming languages such as SAS, R, Python, Alteryx, SQL, working independently with minimal supervision as well as collaborating effectively as part of a team
Requires power user skills in MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access)
Solid understanding of data analysis and data modeling
Experience working with one or more of the following: machine learning, analytics, neo4j, Neptune, RDF, gremlin, graph
Travel to client sites as needed to support meetings
