    Aerospace Quality Research and Development – 145

    Job Description: Facilities Maintenance technician

    Classification: Full-time/Non-Exempt

    Shift: 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Hours May Occasionally Vary to Fit Business Needs)

    Reports To: Facilities Manager

    Required Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma
    • Must have 3-5 years' experience performing maintenance tasks.

    Primary Duties:

    • The Facilities Maintenance Technician is to Assist the Facilities Manager In performing tasks to maintain the facility and its equipment.
    • Performs all building maintenance, repairs and routine inspections of building infrastructure, including but not limited to walls, ceilings, doors, windows, hardware, and roof, cleaning and care of floors, walls, bathrooms, etc.
    • Ensures proper lawn care is maintained by third party service.
    • Assists the Facilities Manager with maintaining all facility maintenance records.
    • Assist the Facilities manager with maintaining the Preventative Maintenance Program.

    Essential Functions and Competencies:

    • Must have strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
    • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language
    • Current valid Driver's License
    • Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures
    • Works well independently and in a team environment
    • Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications
    • Must possess interpersonal and communication skills to interact in a business-like manner with other people inside and outside the company
    • Exhibits positive, courteous behavior with co-workers and customers
    • Must be self-motivated, conscientious, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Punctual and reliable attendance, is required
    • Ability to complete work efficiently and meets deadlines
    • Proficiency with company's technology and software programs

    Abilities Requirements:

    • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
    • Work may be performed in any section of the facility. This includes multiple aviation hangars, attached to a 2-story office building at an airport (at times hot/cold/dusty/loud).
    • Ability to stand, lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
    • Ability to climb a ladder
    • Ability to obtain a forklift certification, as it may be occasionally required.
    • Valid Driver's License and ability to drive company vehicle.
