    • Prepare medications by reviewing and interpreting prescribed medications orders; detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.
    • Direct and verify pharmacy technician order fulfillment; verifying their order entry data, medication preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals
    • Correspond with lead pharmacy technician on daily RX capacity to ensure effective workflow and efficient medication delivery
    • Provide pharmacological information to facilities and other health care professionals on drug interaction, side effects, dosage and storage of pharmaceutical's
    • Maintain pharmacy services procedures to ensure quality assurance and security concerning order, delivery and prepacking verification and controlled substance records as required by law
    • Provide after hour on-call coverage as required
    • Communicate information effectively to supervisor and others in a timely matter
    • Maintain proficiency with computer systems
    • Analyze processes and work with employees to develop and implement ways to improve internal and external quality and continually seek ways for improvement
    • Organize and maintain all vaccination records
    • Administer COVID-19 Vaccines and/or other vaccines as needed
    • Monitor and maintain all vaccine inventory levels, including proper storage techniques
    • Coordinate all vaccine clinics with facility staff and facility service coordinators
    • Complete Medication Reviews such as Medication Management (MTM), Comprehensive Medication Reviews(CMR), Targeted Medication Reviews(TMR), and/or Targeted Intervention(TIP) as requested.
    • Maintain confidentiality of work related information and materials in compliance with HIPAA regulations
    • Adhere to the principles of the Employee Standards and Code of Conduct and reports any violations
    • Knowledgeable and compliant with current company policies and procedures and state and federal regulations
    • Attends meetings and in-services as required
    • Other duties as assigned

    Required Knowledge:

    • Work requires advanced knowledge of geriatric pharmacy, medication dispensing software and practices, CMS and other state/federal regulations

    Effectively demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and continually strives to improve quality standardsRequired Work Experience:

    • One (1) to Three (3) years of pharmacy experience
    • One (1) or more years of vaccine administration experience
    • One (1) or more years of Medication Therapy Management (MTM) or equivalent

    Required Computer Skills:

    • Framework LTC Software System
    • Framework ECM Software System
    • Other pharmacy related software Other Requirements
    • Must have reliable transportation
    • Must have valid driver's license
    • Must have COVID-19 vaccination or be willing to get a COVID-19 vaccine upon hire

    Certification Requirements:

    • Active Tennessee Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License
    • Must complete continuing education as required by Tennessee Department of Health
    • Active Alabama Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License (optional)
    • Must complete continuing education as required by Alabama Department of Health
    • Pharmacist Vaccination Training

    Active CPR certificationEducation Requirements:
