- Generate design documents using AutoCAD, CADWorx Plant Professional, Plant 3D, and/or Bentley MicroStation
- Create piping construction drawings for various projects based on input from senior designers or project engineers
- Collaborate with project engineering teams
- Fieldwork and occasional work in elevated conditions
- Conduct field surveys of existing conditions
- Collaborate on multiple multi-discipline projects with fellow designers and engineers to meet project deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of relevant piping design experience
- Courses or certification in drafting, design, and engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Experience with heavy industrial equipment and facilities
- Effective communication and coordination skills with other disciplines for design accuracy
- Team-oriented and self-motivated with keen attention to detail
- Associates degree with emphasis in industrial drafting/design
- Proficiency in MicroStation is a plus
- Familiarity with Plant 3D design software is advantageous

Orbital is currently in need of a piping designer with expertise in designing piping systems using CAD software for industrial facilities in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate should have experience in heavy industrial engineering projects, particularly in the refining sector.
