NCHC builds healthy families and thriving communities by providing the infrastructure to collaboratively identify and address socioeconomic and health inequities in the NEK, including: STRETCH (Strategies to Repair Equity and Transform Community Health) is a national initiative to champion a systems change approach analyzing the underlying policies, practices, resource allocations, power dynamics, relationships and mental models that have created barriers to everyone having the opportunity to live their healthiest life.

NEK Prosper is a nationally recognized Accountable Health Community that leverages relationships and collaborative action to build health equity and communities where everyone is Financially Secure, Mentally and Physically Healthy, Well-housed and Well-nourished.

Vibrant ONE Accountable Health Community envisions a vibrant, thriving, safe and inclusive Orleans and Northern Essex community. We work collaboratively toward our Shared Aspiration that everyone living in Orleans/No.

Essex will have easy access to person-centered and coordinated mental health and substance misuse services that are timely, close to home, at the appropriate level and with the appropriate transition supports for continued success in a person's home community.

KURRVE (Kingdom United Resilience & Recovery Effort) is a collaboration of neighbor-to-neighbor networks, faith and business communities and other local nonprofit organizations, with the mission to provide services to individuals and families affected by the July 2023 flooding in Caledonia and Orleans Counties and to strengthen Caledonia, Essex and Orleans Counties' regional response and recovery from any future crisis or disaster events, manmade or natural, through a coordinated community-driven and regional approach which provides for the immediate and long-term unmet needs of our Northeast Kingdom community members.

Member Duties :
The VISTA member will be responsible for helping build and maintain a positive public image for Northeast Kingdom Health Equity collaborative efforts including KURRVE, NEK Prosper, PHEARLESS, STRETCH and Vibrant ONE through:

• Content creation and dissemination on, through and for: oSocial media platforms (including podcasts), printed materials and through traditional media channels (newspaper and radio), oUpdates to NEK Prosper website, oCreation of Vibrant ONE website, oCreation of Community Calendar and newsletter, and oCreation of NEK Health Equity podcasting series.
• Coordination and staffing of Vibrant ONE Community Involvement and Illumination Action Teams and STRETCH community engagement and communication working group
