    The Application Engineer is responsible for preparing customer quotations and providing sales support for industrial automation customers.

    Analyze customer applications and recommend solutions to their control system challenges based on our group's product offering and core competencies.


    • Meet with customers and conduct site surveys of industrial automation control systems to gain understanding of project opportunities. Gather information needed to work with project engineers/managers to develop solutions to address customer requirements.
    • Use industry process knowledge and product application expertise to recommend solutions for customers.
    • Prepare system configuration drawings, commercial and technical proposals by studying system schematics, specifications, plans and related customer documents, consulting with engineers, and other professional and technical personnel.
    • Present technical/commercial proposals to customers

    PLC products:
    Engineering degree or equivalent experience in industrial automation.


    • Experience working with PLC, AC & DC Drive systems, and HMI products.
    • Willingness and desire to participate in ongoing training to maintain technical competency in automation products, software and complimentary areas.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
    • Must have self-motivation and time management qualities.
    • An understanding of customer relationships and the interaction within the project
    • Travel requirement is approximately 10-20% of the time.

    Be a flexible and adaptive member of the team, occasionally shifting focus to augment or help other projects or teams outside the primary scope of duties.
