    Carillon Technologies is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team.

    The successful candidate will be a technical individual contributor on projects developing and demonstrating next-generation free space communication systems and technologies on projects ranging from initial concept development through full systems demonstrations in relevant environments.

    Responsibilities:
    Principal contributor for the development of antenna technology for mm-wave communications and Radar applications. Support development of Carillon's proprietary optical antenna technology for communications and LIDAR applications.

    Establish performance requirements and perform electrical and RF architecture design, component selection, circuit design, circuit board design, implementation, verification, board bring up and debugging.

    Design and development of antenna components, subassemblies, and final assembly.
    Work effectively with vendors and subcontractors to ensure sourcing of required components and subsystems.
    Design and develop hardware schematics, PCB layouts, and Bills of Materials.
    Identify, track, and mitigate risks associated with development and production activities.
    Maintain appropriate document and version control procedures.
    Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure effective utilization of company personnel, resources, and facilities.
    Conduct hardware level integration and test.

    Support various aspects of technical project planning, including designs, proposals, cost estimates, schedules and technical interface meetings throughout the program lifecycle.

    Ensure traceability between customer requirements and system requirements.
    Document electrical designs using Electrical CAD software to carry out schematic and lay out design.
    Create VHDL code for FPGA devices then implement and synthesize the design using FPGA tools (e.g. Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, Lattice Diamond)

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Extensive experience with mixed signal electronic PCB design and fabrication
    Experience with development and debugging of digital electronic circuits including microprocessors or FPGAs.
    Knowledge of custom driver architectures to control LCD displays or digital micromirror devices.
    Knowledge of modulation/demodulation of RF signals for commercial or military applications.
    Knowledge of digital beam steering architectures for commercial and military applications.
    Experience with test automation using programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, or LabVIEW.

    Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; a Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; or a Ph.

    D. degree.
    Proficiency in board level circuit design including microprocessors, FPGAs, and data converters.
    Proficient with signal integrity design techniques
    Experience with C, C++, VHDL or Verilog design.
    Experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers to debug complex digital designs with Microprocessors and FPGAs.
    Eligibility for DOD SECRET Clearance.
    Ability to handle data in compliance with U.S. export control laws

    Salary Range:
    $137, $165,500.00 per year
