- Provides competent compassionate nursing care based on scientific principles and the use of the nursing process
- Provides direct nursing care for patients undergoing non-invasive cardiac testing in the Department.

- Maintains competency with application and processing of cardiac event monitors
- Evaluates patient prior to test; monitors vital signs, assesses patient, and documents accordingly during test; recognizes changes in patient status and reports to physician; initiates nursing interventions according under the direction of the attending physician.
- Maintains competency in radiation safety principles
- Maintains competency in Stress Lab equipment, intravenous (IV) infusion pumps, bedside cardiac monitors, oxygen administration/airway equipment as needed for patient care
- Collaborates with cardiologists regarding individualized patient assessments and plan of care
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Maintains competency in use of the electronic medical record
- Collaborates with various departments to ensure continuity of care: Emergency Department, Cath Lab, SICU/MICU, Echo Lab, Nuclear Medicine, and general nursing floors, etc.
- Performs all other duties as assigned

- Collaborates with various departments to ensure continuity of cardiac care
- Performs all other duties as assigned
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing required
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
- Currently licensed Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required
- Current BLS required
- Current ACLS required
- Available for flexible dayshifts (Monday-Saturday) per department needs
- Strong cardiology background required
- Minimum 2-3 years of cardiac nursing experience required (see below)
- Previous Cardiac Rehab, Stress Lab, Cath Lab, or Cardiac ICU experience highly preferred

Stress Lab General Expectations and Duties
Mount Auburn Hospital:
