    Our Columbus, Ohio client has a contract opportunity for a Project Engineer who will be responsible for executing complex engineering tasks and projects, applying engineering expertise to achieve assigned objectives safely, effectively, efficiently, and economically.

    Job Description:
    As a Project Engineer role, the candidate will manage engineering activities of multiple complex projects.

    Project types include solar and wind electric generating facilities, environmental retrofit to existing coal power plants, building new Combustion Turbine (CT).3rd party Engineering firms and OEM will be responsible for the design.

    Prospective engineer will be the client Engineering Lead for assigned projects and will be responsible to manage all aspects of engineering activities.

    The Engineer will coordinate with different Engineering disciplines within client to ensure proper engineering oversight.


    Principal Accountabilities:


    Coordinate the overall engineering activities between client, Developer, Architect Engineer (A/E), and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for Generation capital projects.

    Ensure production of engineering deliverables are completed on schedule.
    Ensure that the design meets stakeholder expectations, and the constraints are resolved in a timely manner.
    Provide engineering progress updates to the project team and stakeholders.

    Lead complex engineering discussions that require the input and efforts of a wide array of entities both internal and external to client.

    Ability to identify, clarify, and resolves complex technical problems that require multi-disciplined analytical techniques.
    Help to drive to conclusion where differences of opinion are likely to exist.
    Ability to present complex technical subjects, clearly, concisely, and persuasively, bringing in ancillary issues before senior management.

    Builds teams and networks that extend through client, and other companiesPossesses the experience and knowledge to make technical decisions based on calculated risks.

    Understands how strategies and decisions impact the relationship with our customers and suppliers.


    Minimum Requirements:


    Has typically acquired 6 or more years of related engineering experience along with a Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET*; or 4 years of related engineering experience along with a Master's degree or PhD in engineering from a program accredited by ABET*; Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any U.S.

    state or Puerto Rico
    is encouraged and preferred.

    • ABET), plus a Professional Engineers (PE) license in any state of the U.

    a Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a Master's degree or PhD in engineering from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program. Confirmation is required to ensure the PE obtained in Puerto Rico aligns with NCEES standards.
