    A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DIRECTOR OF NURSING As a Director of Nursing, you are responsible for every aspect of the day-to-day operations of providing home health care to our patients.

    You are the leader of our interdisciplinary team, which means you are in charge of providing a continuous assessment of the needs of our patients and their families while implementing their interdisciplinary plan of care.

    In addition, you direct the agency's daily workload, ensuring the appropriate assignment for all referrals and coordinating the 24-hour availability of all services.

    Using your exceptional communication skills, you keep in contact with staff, physicians, referral sources, and patients as needed.

    You ensure that satisfaction with our services is maintained by conducting patient visits as well as taking the appropriate measures when incidents or complaints are brought to your attention.

    With a kind and compassionate demeanor, you take the time to listen to customers and maintain effective working relationships with all referral sources while attending to their needs in a timely manner.

    You also maintain an interdisciplinary team and care plan monthly schedule.

    Serving as the volunteer coordinator, you help with recruiting, retaining, and training volunteers as well as scheduling their assignments and completing reports to track their level of activity.

    QUALIFICATIONS FOR A DIRECTOR OF NURSING Current RN license in good standing from the state of Oklahoma1+ years of supervisory experienceKnowledge about the grief process both in dealing with patients and their familiesValid driver's license and proof of insuranceStrong leadership skills Two years of experience in home health care is preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration.
