- Prepare samples for testing at a range of scales. Activities include mixing or powders and liquids, pouring, cutting, and polishing.
- Test physical properties of cements, polymers, and adhesive from both field and laboratory preparations.
- Organize and maintain identification of samples originating from many locations. Record sample preparation and test result data using digital tools.
- Operate and maintain a variety of laboratory equipment and tools. Complete and coordinate regular calibration and repair of instruments. Maintain inventory of standard laboratory supplies.
- Technical degree or laboratory experience in a related field.
- Work safely around chemicals, high temperatures, power tools and equipment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Ability to contribute to team projects; have a collaborative and positive attitude.
- Ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders, including direct customer support.
- Required software skills are Microsoft Office, and ability to learn lab instrument software.
