- Customer acquisition and retention
- Maintain and update financial records (both digital and physical)
- Analyze transactions and generate reports
- Conduct regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments
- Predict revenue and assess profit margins
- Supervise ledger reconciliation and handle accounts payable/receivable
- Participate in budgeting processes
- Regularly brief client senior executives on the company's financial status
- Monitor bookkeeping activities consistently
- Safeguard the confidentiality of company financial information
- Formulate and enforce accounting policies and procedures
- Ensure projects adhere to budget constraints
- Release audited financial statements
- Collaborate with executives and CEOs to establish budgets
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts, reviewing for input accuracy, and prepare monthly reports and journal entries as needed
- Maintain the general ledger
- Keep necessary business documents updated
- Oversee/Prepare annual 1099's, annual corporate and individual tax returns
- Assist in the annual budget and audit process
- Maintain financial document retention files
- Handle deposit and cash reports
- Perform other related duties as required within the scope of the position
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, Master's degree a plus
- Candidates with a CPA qualification or on a CPA Track will be prioritized
- Other related certifications will be considered (EA, Turkish CPA, ACCA, etc.)
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in bookkeeping and accounting
- Experience in a CPA firm is highly advantageous
- Profound knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Essential experience in individual and business taxes
- International tax experience is a significant advantage
- Proficiency in accounting software (minimum 2 years experience)
- Fluency in Turkish
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced work environment
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Stay updated on industry developments and regulatory changes
- Management skills or a willingness to be trained for a managerial role
- Ability to manage financial accounting and reporting projects for both for-profit and not-for-profit entities
