Currently, for our client as one of the rapidly expanding CPA firms in the realm of global business, we are in search of an Accounting Associate to integrate with the business operations team. Your role will involve the preparation, review, and analysis of financial reports, as well as the preparation and review of individual and business tax returns. The ideal candidate possesses extensive knowledge of bookkeeping, auditing, and budgeting procedures, demonstrating the capability to oversee daily transactions and suggest enhancements to enhance our client company's financial well-being. Previous work experience and a bachelor's degree are prerequisites. Ultimately, your contribution will be pivotal to our financial operations, ensuring legal compliance and precision in accounting.

    What will you do?

    • Customer acquisition and retention
    • Maintain and update financial records (both digital and physical)
    • Analyze transactions and generate reports
    • Conduct regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments
    • Predict revenue and assess profit margins
    • Supervise ledger reconciliation and handle accounts payable/receivable
    • Participate in budgeting processes
    • Regularly brief client senior executives on the company's financial status
    • Monitor bookkeeping activities consistently
    • Safeguard the confidentiality of company financial information
    • Formulate and enforce accounting policies and procedures
    • Ensure projects adhere to budget constraints
    • Release audited financial statements
    • Collaborate with executives and CEOs to establish budgets
    • Reconcile all balance sheet accounts, reviewing for input accuracy, and prepare monthly reports and journal entries as needed
    • Maintain the general ledger
    • Keep necessary business documents updated
    • Oversee/Prepare annual 1099's, annual corporate and individual tax returns
    • Assist in the annual budget and audit process
    • Maintain financial document retention files
    • Handle deposit and cash reports
    • Perform other related duties as required within the scope of the position

    What we are looking for?

    • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, Master's degree a plus
    • Candidates with a CPA qualification or on a CPA Track will be prioritized
    • Other related certifications will be considered (EA, Turkish CPA, ACCA, etc.)
    • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in bookkeeping and accounting
    • Experience in a CPA firm is highly advantageous
    • Profound knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
    • Essential experience in individual and business taxes
    • International tax experience is a significant advantage
    • Proficiency in accounting software (minimum 2 years experience)
    • Fluency in Turkish
    • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced work environment
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented
    • Stay updated on industry developments and regulatory changes
    • Management skills or a willingness to be trained for a managerial role
    • Ability to manage financial accounting and reporting projects for both for-profit and not-for-profit entities
    • Accurate and timely completion of tasks with minimal supervision
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Flourishes in a collaborative, team-player office environment
    • Ability to interface effectively with staff and external contacts of the Authority
    • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Strong organizational skills

    This is primarily an on-site position with some flexibility. Remote candidates will be considered, but priority will be given to those willing to relocate and/or commute to the office.
