    Description
    Provides direction and planning necessary for overseeing the schools entire Financial Aid operation to ensure maximum utilization of Federal resources. Responsible for all activities relative to the award of Financial Aid, the distribution of funds and accurate maintenance of internal records

    Minimum requirements:

    • Bachelor degree in related fields of accounting, finance, business, administration
    • At least 3 years of Financial Aid work experience in a supervisory position

    Essential duties and responsibilities:

    • Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Financial Aid Office for the assigned location
    • Provide direction and leadership in the implementation of all policies, procedures, programs and services of the Financial Aid Department to ensure timely and high quality service to all students
    • Comply with the Document Retention policy and disposal of documents. In addition, to perform a proper filing process
    • Collaborate in maintaining student records with all required documents duly completed and preserved
    • Review, document and approve students with unusual circumstances such as, but not limited to: Dependency Override, Professional Judgment, Plus Override, and Unusual Enrollment
    • Coordinate with the corresponding personnel the management of schedules, training and tasks of the participants of the Federal Work Study program; complying with institutional policies and federal regulation
    • Collaborate with the designated institutional staff in the evaluation and resolution, if applicable, of disbursement eligibility exceptions so that students can receive their financial aid on time
    • Supervise and collaborate in the determination of student eligibility to receive the various financial aid funds to which they are entitled, verify, process, and grant these in accordance with the need analysis and current state and federal regulations

    Supervisory responsibilities:

    • Staff Meeting with FA Department at your assigned location
    • Support Performance Appraisals Process
    • People Development (Coaching / Mentoring)
